Yaacov Agam’s CultureBuzzIsrael Interview
Kinetic artist Yaacov Agam met with CultureBuzzIsrael for an interview in September 2013. The “Father of Kinetic Art” discussed the kinetic artwork he is famous for. The Ne’eman Towers, visible behind Agam during the interview, were the highlight of discussion. They have received the title of world’s largest artwork from Guinness World Records.
So far, Agam has completed seven towers, which are located in Tel Aviv, Israel. He has been designing the postmodern style towers since 2002, and the most recent tower was completed this year. An eighth tower is in the works.
The colorful 13 and 14-story towers house luxury apartments with amenities such as a pool and gym. Residents can see city views from their balconies. The lobby is a small gallery, featuring several pieces of art.
