Park West hosts Peter Max sale and free seminar

Instead of heading to the crowded malls and big box stores for that perfect gift, head over to Park West Gallery on Black Friday for a special Peter Max sale and art education seminar.

Park West Gallery presents an exhibition and sale of one of the most complete Peter Max art collections anywhere in the world, starting Friday, November 27, at 11 a.m. in Southfield, Michigan.

Join Park West Gallery Director David Gorman for “Art Collecting 101” on November 27. This fun and free seminar explores the basics of acquiring art. Join this art insider as he explains the differences between artistic mediums like etching, lithography, serigraphy, sculpture and original paintings through the colorful artwork of pop artist Peter Max.

Gorman says all who attend will be empowered with a stronger appreciation for art history and the knowledge to collect with confidence.

“This seminar will give collectors of all levels a better understanding of both what they have and what they are looking to acquire,” Gorman says. “Galleries are often intimidating places. The concept is to demystify the world of fine art and give collectors confidence when entering any gallery anywhere in the world.”

The seminar includes access to special “Black Friday” prices of our Max collection, but these prices will only be in place for Black Friday, so be sure to reserve your spot before they’re gone.

The 45-minute seminar begins shortly after 11 a.m. Complimentary wine and cheese will be served. Entry into the gallery and seminar is free to the public, but seating is limited, so RSVP is encouraged.
