Park West Gallery Partners with First Friday Las Vegas to Launch Artist in Residency Program

In Art & Gallery News, Las Vegas Museum

Las Vegas has long been a city of dazzling lights, world-class entertainment, and a rich, diverse artistic community. Now, thanks to an exciting new partnership between Park West Gallery and the First Friday Foundation, local artists will have a platform to shine like never before. The newly announced Artist in Residency Program aims to celebrate and support the vibrant Las Vegas fine art scene through live painting events, meet-and-greets, art supply donations, and more.

A Monthly Celebration of Las Vegas Artists

The Artist in Residency Program will kick off on Thursday, March 27, 2025, with acclaimed oil painter Amanda Kettler. Each month, a new local artist will take center stage at Park West Gallery, located at The Forum Shops at Caesars Palace. Visitors will have the unique opportunity to watch these talented artists work in real-time, interact with them, and gain insight into their creative processes.

Beyond showcasing talent, the program seeks to empower artists by providing essential resources, including art supply donations and a platform to exhibit their work alongside masterpieces by Pablo Picasso, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Salvador Dalí, and more.

Meet the First Artist in Residence: Amanda Kettler

Kettler, a University of Nevada, Las Vegas graduate, is known for her evocative paintings inspired by her travels. Working in oils, acrylic gouache, chalk pastel, and sculpture, her art serves as both a celebration of sacred places and a form of spiritual practice. Kettler’s residency will run from Thursday, March 27, through Sunday, March 30, 2025, offering visitors multiple opportunities to experience her work up close.

“I want my art to bring peace and joy to people while inspiring them to tap into their own creativity,” says Kettler. “It’s an honor to be part of this program and share my passion with the Las Vegas community.”

A Commitment to Art Awareness and Education

Park West Gallery’s Chief Operating Officer, John Block, emphasizes the company’s dedication to making fine art accessible to all.

“One of the founding principles of Park West Gallery is making fine art available to everybody through art awareness, education, and the promotion of a wide spectrum of artists,” says Block. “With this in mind, we’re thrilled to announce the Artist in Residency Program alongside our long-time partners at First Friday Las Vegas. Through initiatives like this and our previous Made in Vegas artist competitions, we’ve discovered incredible talents in Las Vegas and the surrounding area. We are honored to continue bringing these artists and their voices to the world.”
