Park West Gallery Kicks Off a Season of Giving
PARK WEST GALLERY, through our philanthropic initiative Park West Gallery CARES, has already begun fulfilling our commitment to giving back this holiday season. On Saturday, December 4, Park West Gallery helped spread some holiday cheer by sponsoring Help a Child Foundation of Florida′s 3rd Annual Holiday Party to benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
The Help a Child Foundation’s 3rd Annual Holiday Party included a silent auction featuring framed artwork donated by Park West Gallery. Works by some of today’s most popular contemporary artists, such as Itzchak Tarkay, Linda Le Kinff, Emile Bellet, Simon Bull and Anatole Krasnyansky, were included in the auction, with all proceeds going to benefit St. Jude’s.
“Park West Gallery’s generous donation of framed artwork for our silent auction was a significant part of our Winter Holiday fundraising event for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital,” said Mercy Sauer, co-founder and director of the Help a Child Foundation of Florida. “There was tremendous ‘buzz’ created by having the work so artfully framed and on display for everyone to see. The bidding was fierce between the attendees, spurred on in no small part by the quality and beauty of the individual pieces. We are very grateful to have Park West Gallery as a partner in Help a Child’s efforts to support the important work of St. Jude Hospital.”
“It has been an honor to work alongside my friends Ron and Mercy Sauer and their foundation, Help a Child Foundation of Florida,” said Maria Marsh, Park West Gallery’s Director of Shipboard Operations. “Through  a series of events we have been successful in raising funds to support local and national organizations dedicated to benefit the physical and emotional health of children. On behalf of Park West Gallery, we were honored to join with Help a Child Foundation for their 3rd Annual Holiday Party benefiting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. The event was a resounding success thanks to the donations of Park West Gallery and community supporters. This is another example of Park West Gallery’s commitment to helping people in need and benefiting organizations that are making a difference locally, regionally and throughout the world.”
Throughout 2010, Park West Gallery CARES has donated artwork, fine art books and clothing to select community organizations in southeast Michigan and southeast Florida, where Park West Gallery has locations, as well as to organizations nationwide.
