Park West Gallery and First Friday Foundation have announced graffiti muralist and painter Black57 will be featured as the second local artist in the new Artist in Residency Program.

Aimed at shining a light on the overall quality, variety, and distinctiveness of the Las Vegas fine art scene, the Artist in Residency Program will supplement and promote the work of local artists with art supply donations and the opportunity to display their original work alongside masterworks by Pablo Picasso, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Salvador Dali, and more.

Black57 will be at Park West Gallery at the Forum Shops Thursday, April 24, 2025 through Sunday, April 27, 2025 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and again Thursday, May 1, 2025 through Sunday, May 4, 2025 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Guests will have the opportunity to interact and learn the ins-and-outs of Black57’s artist process, as he works on his craft throughout the brief residency.

Black57 is a self-taught Las Vegas artist, best known for his graffiti murals and chalk work. A working artist since 2008, Black57 was taught graffiti art by his cousin at a young age and influenced by his father’s collection of neoclassical paintings and pinup art. A highly in-demand artist for commission work throughout the Las Vegas valley and beyond, he has collaborated with schoolchildren on mural projects and considers inspiring kids’ creativity to be the highest form of engagement his art can achieve.

The new Artist in Residency Program will showcase the work of a new, Las Vegas-based artist each month at Park West Gallery at the Forum Shops at Caesars Palace.
