Park West Foundation seeks caring adult to help local foster youth
Park West Gallery is proud of the way the youth in Park West Foundation’s Blue Babies come together and help each other. Maybe by sharing this story, this foster care youth will find the care and support she needs …
Last week Thursday, Park West Gallery’s philanthropic organization dedicated to helping foster youth – Park West Foundation – received an urgent call regarding a Southfield high school senior who was in foster care who had a homecoming event on Saturday.
This special young lady was recently moved from a foster home into a temporary shelter because a home provider in her school area was not available.
On Friday, youth in our program got together and helped shop for the young lady’s outfit and accessories.
On Saturday, they came together again to help her with a makeover thanks to the help of a professional salon. In the evening Black Car Service LLC provided the luxury ride that escorted her to her special dance. She was relieved and happy. She was beautiful and felt special, just like a true Cinderella.
Park West Foundation together with our youth, the Blue Babies, inspire, empower and care for deserving youth. There are so many untold stories.
It’s our hope by sharing this Cinderella story about this special young lady that we can to inspire the right person with a home in the Southfield area to be her semi-independent provider so she can finish her senior year in a supportive and caring home. If you think you can be that person, please call her worker Katrina at 248.877.1978.
