Art in the Park This Weekend
In keeping with the Park West Gallery mission of connecting people with art and the artists who create it, we’re always on the lookout for fun art events that allow art-enthusiasts to enjoy a firsthand cultural experience. BIRMINGHAM, MICHIGAN — Now in its 35th year, Common Ground’s Art in the Park will take place this weekend, Sept. 26-27: Saturday 10am-6pm and Sunday 10am-5pm. Admission is free. The annual art fair will move to Bates and Willets in downtown Birmingham while construction takes place at Shain Park.
Featuring ceramics, jewelry, paintings, sculpture, photography, glass and more, the juried fair will include more than 190 fine artists from across the country, a silent auction, food, entertainment and a variety of children’s activities.
Art in the Park is the primary fundraiser for Common Ground, an Oakland County-based nonprofit crisis services agency. Proceeds fund the agency’s 24-hour crisis line (800-231-1127), shelters for youths in crisis, family counseling and outreach to at-risk teens.
