Marko Mavrovich – painting at sea

As a young man, painter Marko Mavrovich had his sights set on the sea. When he worked on ships, he often sketched on the blank backs of nautical charts. Although his desire to create art overtook his desire to captain ships, his love for the open water remains – making it perfectly natural for him to paint while onboard ships during Park West Gallery VIP art cruises.

Marko at times paints inside his stateroom or out on its veranda. Here, he quietly works on a painting of a soldier with a service dog. He intends to donate the finished artwork to charity.
