13th annual Big Band Bash Scholarship Fundraiser by the Amelia Island Jazz Festival
This year’s exciting Big Band Bash scholarship award gala will be held on Feb 8, 2025 at the SpringHill Suites by Marriott. The romantic Valentine’s event will feature dinner, dancing, and live performances by Les DeMerle’s fabulous 15-piece orchestra, the full big band along with singer Bonnie Eisele, playing hits by Count Basie, Duke Ellington, and other jazz luminaries. The night will culminate with the awarding of this year’s scholarship to a young drummer and vibraphone player, Aiden Dubberly.
Park West Gallery is proud to be a continuing sponsor of the Amelia Island Jazz Festival, the annual celebration of all styles of jazz held each fall for the past two decades. Every year, a favorite Park West artist is selected as the festival’s official artist. This year, for the Big Band Bash Benefit Gala, Ziggy O’Leary has created an original work of art to auction off at the 13th annual scholarship fundraising dinner and dance. Ziggy’s work is an explosion of neon and musical energy as a jazz vocalist and drummer wail away deep into the night. He joins an illustrious cast of Park West artists, including Marcus Glenn, Peter Nixon, Tim Yanke, and Mark Kostabi, to serve as the festival’s official artist.
All the proceeds of this special night of music, dinner, and dancing go to the scholarship, which gives promising high school jazz musicians a head start to further their musical education in college. Now dust off your dancing shoes and get your tickets to the Big Band Bash Benefit Gala!!
To inquire about collecting the art of Ziggy, attend one of Park West’s online auction weekends or contact a sales associate via email at sales@parkwestgallery.com or by phone at 1-800-521-9654 (option 4).
